Parsippany Honors Officer Remo DAlessandro for 21 Years of Dedicated Service

Mayor James R. Barberio and Chief Richard Pantina celebrated Patrolman Remo D’Alessandro at a Walkout Ceremony, honoring his 21 years of dedicated service to the Parsippany Police Department. D’Alessandro, a U. S. Marine Corps veteran, began his law enforcement career in 2001 with the Paterson Police Department before transferring to Parsippany in 2004.

He held various positions, including Field Training Officer and Community Relations Officer, where he emphasized community engagement through programs like the Citizen’s Police Academy and Coffee with a Cop. His contributions to public safety earned him numerous accolades, including the Meritorious Service Medal and two Life Saving Medals. D’Alessandro also played a crucial role in training future law enforcement through the Junior Police Academy. The ceremony underscored his commitment to the Parsippany community and his influential role in shaping police-community relations. As he retires, his legacy of service and dedication will be remembered.
