Reward offered for information on deadly hit-and-run

Pacific, WALocal News

Pacific Police are seeking the public's assistance in solving a tragic hit-and-run case that resulted in the death of 59-year-old Dal Groshong, who had previously faced significant challenges after a motorcycle accident decades ago. The fatal incident occurred on September 10 in Pacific, Washington, where Groshong was struck while crossing the street. Despite being rushed to Harborview Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries on December 11, with the King County medical examiner citing multiple blunt force injuries as the cause of death. Surveillance footage from the scene captured a silver or gray 2018-2019 Mitsubishi Outlander, which is believed to have sustained damage during the collision. In response to this heartbreaking situation, Groshong's family, alongside Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound, is offering a $2,500 cash reward for any information that leads to the identification and arrest of the driver.

Groshong's mother fondly remembered him as a compassionate person who connected with others, especially the elderly, leaving behind two sons, a daughter, and four grandchildren. The community is urged to come forward with any tips that could assist investigators in this case. Those with information can contact local authorities or Crime Stoppers directly.
