The Penticton Regional Hospital will unveil its expanded Community Oncology Network clinic on June 23, 2025, significantly enhancing cancer care access for South Okanagan residents. The upgraded facility will be three times larger than the previous clinic, designed to reduce wait times and ensure patient privacy. Health officials, including Minister of Health Josie Osborne, emphasize that the modern clinic will promote collaborative, team-based care, resulting in better outcomes for patients and a more efficient work environment for healthcare providers. The $22 million expansion project is co-funded by the B. C.
government, Interior Health, the Okanagan-Similkameen Regional Hospital District, and the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation. Barb George, a patient and volunteer at the hospital, praised the new space for providing dignity to patients during treatment. The expansion is part of B. C.
