Traffic-pattern change coming for Highway 1 near 264th Street
Traffic-pattern changes on Highway 1 near the 264th Street interchange will begin affecting drivers as early as May 23, 2025. Westbound drivers will be directed to a new off-ramp that connects to a signalized intersection, allowing access to 264th Street. Eastbound drivers will experience similar changes starting June 13, 2025, utilizing a new off-ramp to access 56th Avenue. The existing off-ramps for 264th Street will close permanently, requiring earlier exits of approximately 300 meters for westbound and 500 meters for eastbound traffic. These changes are essential for constructing the new 264th Street interchange, which aims to widen Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley.
