The Government of B. C. plans to build 65 affordable homes for Indigenous families in Mission, with a $19 million investment. Located on Kwantlen land, the project will feature community spaces and recreational areas, enhancing social interaction among residents. This effort is part of the Building BC: Indigenous Housing Fund, which allocates $1. 7 billion to create 3,500 new homes for Indigenous Peoples. Since 2017, the B. C.

government has committed to addressing the housing crisis, delivering nearly 92,000 homes. The Kwantlen First Nation Affordable Housing Society will own and operate the development, ensuring community involvement in management.
