John Horgan Campus opens in Langford
The John Horgan Campus of Royal Roads University officially opened in Langford, providing innovative post-secondary education for an increasing number of local students. Premier David Eby stated that the campus represents a pathway to future prosperity, honoring the legacy of the late premier John Horgan, a strong education advocate. The facility will support around 1,300 full-time students, offering programs ranging from health care to sustainability. The campus was developed through a collaboration of RRU, UVic, Camosun College, and local school districts, addressing the educational needs of the community. Designed with sustainability at its core, the building has gained LEED gold certification and zero-carbon status, incorporating features like B.
