The British Columbia government has purchased land to build new French-language schools in Abbotsford and Victoria West, allocating $25 million for the Victoria West site and $26 million for Abbotsford. Minister of Infrastructure Bowinn Ma stated that francophone families deserve educational institutions that reflect their culture and language. The Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique (CSF) will collaborate with the government to create business plans detailing the schools' size, design, and timelines for opening. This initiative addresses the growing demand for French-language education, as 47 public francophone schools are already operating across the province. The new schools are expected to enhance educational access for families in these regions, marking a milestone for French-language education in Abbotsford and establishing a third CSF school in Victoria West.

Government officials reaffirmed their dedication to supporting the francophone community through continued investments in education infrastructure. Since 2017, approximately $300 million has been approved to expand francophone-education infrastructure throughout B. C. This investment aims to create modern, welcoming schools that cater to the needs of the francophone population.
