North Vancouver, BCLocal News

Starting next week, single-lane alternating traffic will be enforced on Fulford-Ganges Road to facilitate the replacement of culverts at Cusheon Creek with a new bridge. The contractor will work weekdays from 7 a. m. to 7 p. m.

, with possible extended hours and weekend work if necessary. Drivers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes during construction, which will continue through December 2025. A temporary detour bridge will be established, and clear signage will assist drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians in sharing the road safely. Parking at Blackburn Lake will be closed, but pedestrian access will remain available throughout the project. An alternative route will be provided for passenger vehicles, allowing commercial traffic to continue using Fulford-Ganges Road.

This project aims to improve infrastructure and enhance safety for all road users. For updates, visit the BC Gov website or check road conditions at DriveBC.
