North Vancouver, BCLocal News

The City of Vancouver will close the northbound off-ramp at East 1st Ave. (Exit 27) along Highway 1 from July 4 to July 13, 2025, as part of ongoing sewer-upgrade work. The closure follows a previous disruption in the area and aims to improve local infrastructure. During this time, drivers will not be able to make a left turn onto the northbound on-ramp from East 1st Ave. Alternative routes through East Hastings or McGill Street are advised, with increased travel times expected.

The ministry will provide further updates if additional closures are required. Local authorities emphasize the importance of obeying traffic signage during the closure. Traffic updates are available on DriveBC to keep drivers informed. This infrastructure project reflects the city's commitment to enhancing essential services for residents.
