The City of North Bend is pleased to host the 2025 Citizens Academy, an engaging eight-week course from February 3 to March 24, 2025, offered free of charge to participants. This interactive program is designed to deepen residents' understanding of municipal government operations and services. Participants will engage in meaningful dialogues with city leaders and staff, enhancing their knowledge of local governance. The academy will guide a select group of 20 residents through essential topics, including city administration, finance, public safety, and community development. Tours of local facilities, such as the newly upgraded Wastewater Treatment Plant and police and fire stations, will provide firsthand insights into city operations.

The objective is to encourage civic engagement and foster a stronger connection between residents and their government. A recognition event will celebrate the participants' commitment to learning on April 1, 2025. Interested individuals can join a waitlist by applying through the provided link.
