North Bend, WALocal News

The Torguson Park Climbing Wall in North Bend has been revitalized through the efforts of community volunteers who contributed 183 hours to the project. Originally constructed in 2009, the wall now features significant improvements, including the installation of 450 new handhold back plates and 200 additional handholds, along with the removal of outdated bolts. The volunteer effort, led by Cindy and Michael Gaudio, inspired greater community participation, transforming the climbing wall into a lively hub of activity. The updated wall includes bouldering routes and full-height climbing options, catering to climbers of all skill levels and promoting inclusivity. Si View Metropolitan Park District emphasizes the importance of community-driven initiatives in enhancing public spaces.

The revitalized climbing wall is now open, inviting residents and visitors to experience its improvements firsthand.
