Slurry Seal Project Begins Monday, June 9
Moscow will initiate a slurry seal project on June 9 to extend the life of city roadways through a Type 2 asphalt emulsion treatment. Blackline Inc. has been contracted to execute the work, which will involve temporary lane and street closures, potentially leading to detours for residents. The City emphasizes its commitment to ADA accessibility, urging residents to report any issues that may arise due to the project. Notifications will be sent 48 hours prior to any closures, ensuring residents are informed about the changes.
The slurry seal application is designed to cure quickly, allowing most streets to reopen within 3 to 6 hours. Weather conditions may alter the planned schedule, but the City aims to minimize disruptions. This project represents a proactive approach to urban infrastructure maintenance, impacting the daily commute of residents. Improved road conditions are expected to enhance safety and longevity of the city's roadways.
