New Exhibitions Opening Soon at Third Street Gallery
Three new art exhibitions will open at Moscow City Hall from October 16, 2025, to January 2, 2026, hosted by the City of Moscow and the Moscow Arts Commission. A reception on October 23 will feature refreshments from local vendors and a presentation on the history of the Covering the Palouse publication. "Brooch the Subject" showcases jewelry by University of Idaho MFA candidate Chandra Drennen, who emphasizes jewelry's role as wearable art. "Covering the Palouse" presents artist-designed covers for a local magazine that captured the cultural essence of the region from 1981 to 1995, a time before digital media. "The Sweet Controversy" displays artworks that tackle nostalgic and divisive candy themes, produced by University of Idaho students.
The exhibitions aim to foster community engagement in the arts and celebrate local talent. Moscow City Hall, a historic building, serves as a vital public space for artistic expression and civic life. These events reflect the ongoing commitment of the Moscow Arts Commission to enhance cultural offerings in the region.
