Driver towing fish house dies after collision with pickup in Aitkin County

A fatal accident occurred Friday evening near Aitkin, Minn. , when Maggie Spychalla, 34, was towing a fish house and collided with a Dodge Ram pickup. Spychalla died from her injuries, while six passengers in her vehicle, including five children aged 3 to 17, suffered noncritical injuries. The pickup driver, Jimmie Dano, 18, and a passenger also received treatment for noncritical injuries. Authorities confirmed that road conditions were dry, and all SUV occupants wore seat belts, unlike the two individuals in the pickup.
