The Ukrainian American Community Center in Minneapolis will host a blood drive on November 1 to thank Americans for their support of Ukrainian families displaced by the ongoing conflict. Scheduled from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m.

, the drive aims to collect blood for Children’s Minnesota hospitals, with 62 individuals already signed up to donate. Last year's event successfully collected blood from 152 donors, and organizers are optimistic about increasing participation this year. They hope to encourage donations of red blood cells, which are especially vital for children's health and development. In addition to blood donations, the community invites those who cannot donate to contribute financially to medical aid containers sent to Ukrainian hospitals through Stand With Ukraine MN. Spokesperson Iryna Petrus highlighted the drive as a heartfelt thank you, reflecting the kindness shown to Ukrainian refugees in Minnesota.

This initiative not only supports local children but also reinforces community bonds during a challenging time. The Ukrainian community continues to express gratitude for the assistance received since the onset of the conflict in 2022.
