Lynnwood, WALocal News

The Snohomish Panthers triumphed over the Meadowdale Mavericks 39-14 in a critical 3A Wesco League crossover game, undermined by the Mavericks' four first-half fumbles. The Panthers capitalized on these turnovers, scoring three touchdowns within the first quarter. Meadowdale's initial offensive series ended in a fumble, leading to an early 6-0 deficit. Coach Antwoine Gamble expressed disappointment over the team's mistakes, asserting that they were not influenced by weather conditions. The Mavericks scored two touchdowns, one from Cayden Rivera and another from backup QB Nolan Lee, but these were not enough to overcome the deficit.

Snohomish quarterback Nate Kendall completed nine passes for 202 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing a strong performance. The loss marked Meadowdale's second straight defeat, eliminating their playoff hopes. This outcome highlighted the challenges faced by the Mavericks in maintaining possession and executing their game plan effectively.
