Edmonds Holy Rosary Church provides clothing to veterans

Holy Rosary Church in Edmonds donated over 300 clothing items to veterans in need, supporting a collaborative drive with St. Thomas More Church. The items were distributed through American Legion Post 66 and VFW Post 8870, highlighting community engagement in veteran support. Sharon Suver, president of the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Women’s Association, spearheaded the initiative, which aims to assist veterans visiting the Lynnwood Hygiene Center. The Hygiene Center, located at 19726 64th Ave.

W. in Lynnwood, offers essential services, including private showers and clothing, to individuals without requiring paperwork. Dan Mullene, commander of American Legion Post 66, praised the partnership, noting that the community has consistently stepped up for veterans. Executive Director Gary Walderman of Lynnwood Heroes Café confirmed that the donated items will be distributed through their services. The Hygiene Center operates Monday to Saturday, providing a vital resource for those in need.

This collaboration underscores the community's commitment to supporting its veterans and addressing local social issues.
