Economic Alliance to host webinar on World Cup-related community grant program

Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC) will host a webinar on October 30 to guide businesses in applying for the Activate Snohomish Community Grant Program. This program, funded by the Seattle Foundation and supported by the Washington State Department of Commerce, allocates $85,000 in grants across two tracks: Community Activation Grants and Small Business Grants. The webinar, scheduled for 3-4 p. m. via Microsoft Teams, will review eligibility criteria, application requirements, and grant timelines, with a chance for attendees to ask questions.

Applications are open until December 1, 2025, and award notifications are expected to begin on January 19, 2026. Ray Stephanson, EASC's president and CEO, highlighted that the FIFA World Cup 26 presents a unique opportunity for local businesses to gain visibility. EASC serves as the small business liaison for the Snohomish Local Organizing Committee. Interested parties can register for the webinar through a link provided in the announcement. This initiative aims to enhance local readiness and support businesses in preparing for the global sporting event.
