Housing Hope Executive Board appoints Kathryn Opina as CEO

Kathryn Opina has officially become the CEO of Housing Hope and HopeWorks, starting on September 1. Before her permanent appointment, she served as interim CEO for six months and held the role of lead operations and general administrator for two years. Housing Hope operates 652 affordable housing units in Snohomish County, addressing critical housing needs in the region. Board Chair Kirby Duncan highlighted Opina's skills and dedication to the agency's mission during her interim tenure. Opina expressed her honor in accepting the position, pledging to lead with integrity and innovation.

She aims to drive strategic initiatives while fostering collaboration within the organization. The board believes her leadership will sustain the agency’s progress in providing affordable housing. Opina’s extensive experience in non-profit fiscal management will be instrumental as she guides Housing Hope forward.
