Mariner Fest will take place at Mariner High School and the Mariner Sno-Isle Library on August 9, from 11 a. m. to 3 p. m. , offering free school supplies to local families.

The initiative, led by Project Girl Mentoring Program in collaboration with Sno-Isle Libraries and the Everett Housing Authority, aims to support families ahead of the school year. The first 1,200 registered children will receive a free backpack and school supplies, contingent on their attendance. More than 50 local organizations will participate, providing families with valuable resources alongside educational entertainment, games, music, and food options. Registration for a backpack can be completed online, ensuring families can access essential supplies. While the event primarily targets families in the Mariner area, it is open to all attendees.

This gathering fosters community engagement and emphasizes the importance of supporting local families. For additional inquiries, attendees can contact Project Girl's CEO, Olympia Edwards, via email.
