Virtual golf tournament fundraiser for Lynnwood Neighborhood Center Aug. 13

Volunteers of America Western Washington will host a virtual golf tournament fundraiser on August 13 from 5-10 p. m. at the Back 9 Parlor to support the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center. The event will feature 18 holes of golf simulation and options for playing other sports, with tickets priced at $125 for two-person teams. Participants can also make additional donations to further support the project.

The Lynnwood Neighborhood Center is set to be a 40,000-square-foot facility, providing a space for community services and connections to health, food, and financial assistance. Construction is estimated to cost $26. 5 million and is nearly fully funded, as stated by WOAWW President Brian Smith during a Lynnwood City Council meeting. The center will be located next to Trinity Lutheran Church at 6215 196th St. S.
