Lynnwood launches Spanish-speaking small business support program

Lynnwood, WALocal News

The Lynnwood Police Department and the City of Lynnwood have initiated a program to support Spanish-speaking small business owners in collaboration with the Latino Educational Training Institute. This outreach is part of the Small Business Development Program, which was launched earlier this year to assist local businesses with resources for growth. The program provides services such as financial guidance, marketing support, and networking opportunities. Currently, 17 businesses, including restaurants and food trucks, are participating, following outreach to 20 Spanish-speaking businesses. Simreet Dhaliwal Gill, the Business Development Program Manager, reported that they informed these businesses about the available support.

Mayor Christine Frizzell highlighted the program's role in fostering trust and open dialogue with non-English speaking entrepreneurs. The initiative aims to strengthen relationships with underrepresented business groups in Lynnwood. Interested businesses can contact program representatives to learn more about participation.
