Police in Westminster are appealing for information regarding a man seen in CCTV footage following an assault on a woman in her home. The attack occurred on New Cavendish Street around 23:40 BST on July 30, 2025, when the intruder pursued the victim into her flat. He attempted to force entry while covering her mouth, but her partner successfully scared him off. Detective Constable Chunjie Zang described the incident as "highly alarming," highlighting the distress it caused the victim and her family. Authorities confirmed no similar incidents have been reported in the area, but they are committed to apprehending the suspect.

The man is described as white, 5ft 9in tall, balding, and wearing a grey T-shirt with blue jeans. He was later seen in a brown hoodie and spoke with a non-British accent, possibly Scandinavian, Australian, or from New Zealand. Police are urging anyone who recognizes the man to reach out with information.
