Leavenworth, WALocal News

Michael Ross, 55, received a six-year prison sentence for distributing child pornography, while 26-year-old Khayman Matthews was sentenced to 34 months for possession. Ross has been incarcerated since February 2023 after sheriff's detectives found he shared child sexual abuse material online. He pled guilty to three counts of child pornography distribution and an additional criminal mischief charge. Matthews has also been in jail since early 2023 for gathering explicit images of children from the internet, pleading guilty to two counts of possession. Both cases underscore the serious legal repercussions of child exploitation offenses and reflect a growing concern in the community.

The Chelan County court aims to deter future crimes through these sentences, reinforcing the message that such behavior will not be tolerated.
