West Street Construction Project Begins May 12, 2014

Leavenworth, WALocal News

The City of Leavenworth is preparing for significant improvements on West Street, with construction set to begin on May 12, 2014. This project is part of a larger Citywide Improvement and Preservation initiative, which includes various enhancements aimed at improving infrastructure and pedestrian safety. Among the planned activities are sidewalk demolition, mailbox relocation, and the installation of stormwater systems. The city has coordinated with Chelan County PUD to relocate power poles ahead of the construction. Although disruptions to traffic flow are expected, the contractor is committed to minimizing the impact on residents' access to their properties.

Crews will operate four ten-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, targeting completion by mid-June. The city appreciates residents' patience and support during this project. For additional information, residents can reach out to Terry Gildersleeve at 548-5275.
