Growth Development in Issaquah Highlands

Issaquah, WALocal News

Issaquah Highlands is undergoing transformative development with IHIF Commercial breaking ground on a 21. 5-acre site, enhancing the local commercial landscape. Lakeside Industries is planning a significant 30-acre mixed-use redevelopment that will introduce 1,400 rental units and 100,000 square feet of commercial space, along with public open spaces. This project is expected to begin construction in 2025-26. Meanwhile, Bellevue College is evaluating its property along College Drive for future development, considering leasing options to residential developers instead of pursuing a full campus.

The college's current development agreement expires in 2025, prompting immediate discussions with the City of Issaquah. This strategic move would allow the college to generate revenue while maintaining control over the land. As construction progresses for both commercial projects, residents can anticipate improved infrastructure and increased housing options in the community. The developments reflect a broader trend of growth and investment in Issaquah Highlands.
