A 33-year-old man was arrested in Pierce County, WA, after allegedly robbing a USPS worker at gunpoint on Monday. The masked suspect threatened the mail carrier while stealing master keys that were hanging in the mailboxes. Following the robbery, Lakewood police tracked down the suspect's stolen Kia and initiated a pursuit, ultimately leading to his arrest. Officers conducted a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle, where they found a pistol and the ski mask used in the crime. The man has been booked into Pierce County Jail on multiple charges, including eluding police and possession of a stolen vehicle.

The three passengers in the car were released after claiming they were unaware of the robbery and the vehicle's stolen status. Investigators are preparing to file additional charges of first-degree robbery as they gather more evidence. This incident underscores ongoing concerns regarding safety for postal workers and the prevalence of vehicle theft in the area.
