Windstorm Recovery SBA Loans

Issaquah, WALocal News

Following the devastating bomb-cyclone in November 2024, the Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved a disaster declaration for Washington state, making low-interest federal loans available to those affected. This declaration specifically assists businesses and residents in counties such as Chelan, King, Kitsap, and Yakima. Governor Jay Inslee highlighted the importance of this support, stating that it offers vital resources for individuals who have faced irreparable losses, including loss of life. The SBA is urging applicants to act swiftly, as loan applications will be processed in the order they are received. Interested parties can find comprehensive application information on the SBA's website or contact their Customer Service Center for assistance.

The deadlines for submitting applications are February 21, 2025, for property damage and September 23, 2025, for economic injury. This initiative reflects the government's commitment to aid in recovery efforts following natural disasters. Such federal assistance is crucial in helping communities rebuild and restore their livelihoods.
