Parks and Community Services CreditDebit Card Service Fees

Issaquah, WALocal News

Issaquah has introduced a service fee for credit and debit card transactions, which will now incur a 2. 95% charge on all payments. This fee is intended to cover the processing costs associated with these transactions and is non-refundable, which means residents will not be reimbursed this fee if they cancel their registrations or withdraw from programs. The fee will automatically apply for transactions made through the city's Registration Portal and when using credit or debit cards at various facilities. To avoid the fee, residents are encouraged to utilize cash, checks, or money orders, although this option may be limited for popular programs requiring immediate payment.

The city expresses appreciation for residents' understanding as it strives to provide reliable payment services. For further assistance, residents can reach out via email to the Parks and Community Services department. This new fee reflects the broader trend of municipalities adapting to the financial realities of processing digital transactions. As local governments navigate these changes, transparency and clear communication remain essential.
