The first-ever Open Studio Tour in Issaquah is set for September 7, inviting the public to explore the creative spaces of ten local artists. Organized by Ali Marcus of Happy Time Studio, the tour aims to connect artists with the community and encourage artistic engagement. Participants will discover a variety of art forms, including painting, music, and storytelling, while learning about the artists' individual processes. Among the featured artists is Katie Weaver, an acrylic painter inspired by nature, who will guide visitors in creating their own notecard. John Riziki, a singer-songwriter, will perform live during the event, adding a musical element to the tour.

The event is funded by the Issaquah Arts Commission and 4Culture, showcasing the city's commitment to supporting local arts. Attendees can enter a raffle for a $500 prize by visiting at least five artists, promoting further participation in the arts. This event not only celebrates local talent but also strengthens community ties through creativity and inspiration.
