Issaquah Highlands School Spotlight: September 2024

Issaquah, WALocal News

As the 2024-25 school year begins, the Issaquah Highlands community is invited to join a Mimosa Morning celebration at Blakely Hall, featuring coffee, mimosas, and a light breakfast for attendees aged 21 and over. This event is a great opportunity for friends and neighbors to connect after the first week of school. The Issaquah School District is also adapting to technological needs by implementing a new login method for Canvas, which will streamline access for both students and staff. If already logged into MS365, users will be automatically directed to their Canvas dashboard. Superintendent Heather Tow-Yick has shared a video update to inform families about preparations for the school year, which include curriculum updates and facility improvements.

The district is additionally accepting applications for online courses in subjects like art, math, and world languages for middle and high school students. This initiative aims to support diverse learning pathways and accommodate students' varying schedules. The district encourages families to engage with their social media platforms for ongoing updates and information.
