A small plane crash on January 31, 2025, in Northeast Philadelphia led to a dramatic incident when debris flew into a diner, injuring a customer. The aircraft, identified as a Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, was carrying six individuals, including a pediatric patient, at the time of the crash. Occurring around 6:30 p. m. , the plane was reportedly en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.

Eyewitnesses described the moment when a small metal piece struck a diner patron in the head, leading to an immediate evacuation of the restaurant. The diner, located approximately half a mile from the crash site, has since boarded up its windows with cardboard. Authorities have yet to confirm any additional injuries among residents or patrons nearby, and the identities of the victims remain unknown.
