New Yoga Group on Sunday Mornings

Issaquah, WALocal News

Issaquah Highlands will welcome a new Yoga Group led by Jyothy Praveen, starting March 3, 2024. Meeting every Sunday morning at Blakely Hall, the group aims to provide a casual and inviting atmosphere for both newcomers and experienced yogis. Jyothy has used yoga to maintain her mental and physical health throughout her life and wishes to share this practice with her community. Many people feel intimidated by yoga, and she hopes to alleviate these fears by creating an open environment. Weekly sessions will feature different instructors focusing on various styles such as Vinyasa, Hatha, and Ashtanga, along with techniques for calming the mind.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own mats, towels, and props for a comfortable experience. Jyothy emphasizes the importance of community and connection, recalling fond memories from the now-closed Pure 8 yoga studio that fostered friendships and growth. The Yoga Group aspires to enhance physical health and mental clarity while fostering a strong community bond among participants.
