Hard to Recycle Collection Event

The city of Sammamish will host a Hard to Recycle Collection Event on September 21, 2024, from 9 AM to 3 PM at Eastside Catholic School. This initiative allows residents to responsibly dispose of hard-to-recycle items such as tires, electronic equipment, and batteries while promoting environmentally friendly practices. Households can drop off up to six passenger tires for free, with fees applicable for additional tires and larger truck tires. Alongside recycling, the event will offer rain barrels, compost bins, and worm bins for sale at $25 each, emphasizing sustainable practices in waste management. Participants are advised to arrive early, as no vehicles will be allowed to enter after 3 PM.

It's crucial for attendees to remove all personal information from electronic devices prior to collection and to ensure they have exact cash for any purchases. This event not only caters to the community's recycling needs but also encourages eco-friendly practices among residents.
