Service Disruptions at Factoria Recycling and Transfer Station

Issaquah, WALocal News

King County's Solid Waste Division plans to repair and resurface the Factoria Recycling and Transfer Station from December 1, 2025, to mid-February 2026, leading to significant service disruptions for self-haul customers. Garbage and recycling services will be closed Monday through Friday, while yard waste collection will be suspended entirely. Household hazardous waste services remain unaffected and will operate during normal hours. Self-haul customers can access nearby Renton and Houghton transfer stations for waste disposal on weekdays. Residents are also advised to consider delaying trips to the station when possible, as yard waste will not be accepted in garbage.

The project aims to enhance the facility's infrastructure for better long-term service. For ongoing updates, King County offers email alerts about the project. Customers can reach King County's customer service for further assistance at 206-477-4466.
