The City of Issaquah's Economic Development team strives to cultivate a thriving local economy through targeted support and resources for businesses. They prioritize understanding business needs through in-person visits, which facilitate direct communication and resource sharing. As a member of Startup425, Issaquah offers programs such as a Startup Accelerator and monthly Networking Walks to help entrepreneurs connect and grow. The Homegrown Retail initiative allows local retailers to sell at the Farmers Market, enhancing their visibility and customer engagement. Each May and September, two homegrown retailers are featured, with plans for the 2026 program already in motion.

The Economic Development team is dedicated to ensuring that Issaquah remains a conducive environment for business success. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to contact the team for more information or to schedule visits. Jack Pedlow serves as the economic development coordinator for the city.
