The investigation commenced in June 2025 when the business raised concerns about an employee forging signatures on company checks. Detectives found that the thefts, estimated at $10,000 monthly, began in February 2018. When police apprehended the suspect, they discovered a rental moving trailer attached to her vehicle, indicating possible intent to flee. During questioning, she admitted to the theft but could not provide an estimate of the total amount taken.

She was booked into King County Jail on charges of forgery and theft in the first degree.
