From Fragmentation to Reflection Two New Exhibitions Open March 1

The Irvine Fine Arts Center will launch two compelling exhibitions, "Metamorphosis: Mending the Wound" and "Michelle Andrade: Everything’s Fine," running from March 1 to May 24. An opening reception on March 1 from 2–4 p. m. offers a unique opportunity for the public to interact with the artists and experience their works firsthand. "Metamorphosis," coordinated by Lynk Collective, showcases an array of printmaking and mixed-media pieces that explore themes of transformation, fragmentation, and rehabilitation.

This exhibition emphasizes art's capacity to mend both literally and metaphorically, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the artists involved. In contrast, Michelle Andrade's solo exhibition presents a nuanced examination of daily life's contradictions through vibrant mixed-media works and text. Andrade's art is characterized by humor and irony, prompting viewers to reflect on the tension between optimism and the complexities of reality. Both exhibitions are free to the public, underscoring the importance of accessibility in the arts. Visitors can enjoy the gallery from 10 a.

m. to 9 p. m. on weekdays and 9 a. m.
