The City of Irvine has opened an official passport acceptance facility at City Hall, offering residents a convenient way to apply for passport books and cards. This program results from a collaboration with the U. S. Department of State, ensuring that residents can complete their applications locally. The facility also provides on-site passport photos, making it easier for residents to finalize their applications.

Appointments are available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. , with expanded hours anticipated in early 2026.

Councilmember Mike Carroll highlighted that this initiative represents a commitment to good governance and community service. The facility not only simplifies the passport application process but also enhances local government accessibility.
