UI student arrested for disorderly conduct, harassment at two conservative student events
Niko Calhoon, a 19-year-old University of Iowa student, was arrested on misdemeanor charges including disorderly conduct and harassment for flipping tables at conservative events. The first incident occurred at a Young Americans for Freedom event on Oct. 27, leading to a warrant issued on Nov. 3. Calhoon was arrested following a second incident at the "Cocoa and Conservatives" event hosted by Turning Point USA on Nov.

Witnesses reported feeling "frazzled" by Calhoon's actions, prompting concerns for safety from peers. The university is investigating potential violations of its student code of conduct related to the incidents. Turning Point USA, founded by Charlie Kirk in 2012, advocates for traditional American values on college campuses.
Calhoon, who prefers to be called Niko, declined to comment further after her arrest.
