The Goldendale School Board met on April 28, 2025, to address several pressing issues, including water safety and educational initiatives. Business Manager Dean Schlenker presented findings that 75-80% of faucets with lead levels above the Washington State standard of 5ppb had been resolved through plumbing updates. The board hired Daniel Lawson as the GMS Assistant Track Coach and accepted the resignation of Kadee Herrington, the GHS Head Girls Basketball Coach. Contracts for several school administrators were approved, promoting leadership continuity in the district. Schlenker reported that the general fund increased to $1,885,354 in March, reflecting positive financial management.

The board also discussed facility improvements, including completed kitchen ventilation and fire suppression projects funded by grants. Schlenker noted that bids for the track and field upgrades would be opened on May 12, allowing construction to proceed on schedule. The meeting underscored the district's commitment to improving student safety and educational opportunities.
