White Salmon issues water conservation notice

Goldendale, WALocal News

The City of White Salmon has requested all water customers to conserve water starting September 29, 2025, until further notice. This conservation effort is necessary due to upgrades at the city’s water treatment plant, which will temporarily reduce source water production. Residents and businesses are encouraged to use water wisely during this period. At the same time, the community is grappling with the recent murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot on September 10 during an outdoor event. In response, the Klickitat County Republicans hosted a tribute event, gathering numerous community members to honor Kirk's legacy.

Attendees shared heartfelt testimonies, emphasizing themes of fellowship and patriotism. Kirk's nonprofit, Turning Point USA, aims to educate and organize students around principles of fiscal responsibility and limited government. His untimely death has sparked discussions about the impact of political discourse and the dangers of violence.
