New Corrections Department Director Bill Frantz shared his concerns regarding the transparency of jail operations, expressing caution about disclosing sensitive information in public meetings. He also reported ongoing staffing challenges, with the jail currently down two positions and additional medical leaves impacting operations. Despite supply chain issues affecting uniform patches, a local vendor was able to fulfill the county's needs promptly.

The county is also engaged in other community projects, such as replacing the ceiling in the Dallesport Community Center.
