Emergency Management seeks fire victim information

Goldendale, WALocal News

Klickitat County officials are collecting information from residents and business owners impacted by the Burdoin wildfire to facilitate recovery efforts. The Klickitat County Department of Emergency Management aims to gather data for applying to potential relief programs and coordinating support with community partners. Affected individuals will receive postcards leading them to an impact survey, while those who do not receive one can access the survey online. The recovery phase is expected to span multiple years, prompting the formation of a Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) to provide ongoing assistance. This group will not only aid survivors of the Burdoin wildfire but will also be prepared to respond to future large-scale disasters in Klickitat County.

The county encourages participation in the impact survey and invites individuals to contact the department for further assistance. Interested parties can access the survey at bit. ly/BurdoinImpact. For additional questions, residents can call (509) 773-0570.
