Sebastian County home listings asked for less money in March - see the current median price here

In March, Sebastian County's median home price decreased to $299,250, a slight drop from $299,900 in February. The price, however, shows a 7. 1% increase from $279,450 in March 2024. Homes in this county averaged 1,910 square feet, with a listing price of $147 per square foot, up 4. 8% from the previous year.

Homes remained on the market for a median of 65 days, longer than the national average of 53 days. The area experienced a 5. 3% increase in new listings, with 160 homes newly listed compared to 152 in March 2024. Notably, the median home prices reported exclude many housing types, focusing solely on single-family homes and some townhomes. Across the Fort Smith metro area, median prices rose to $283,950, while statewide figures in Arkansas reached $295,000.

Nationally, the median home price was reported at $424,900, slightly increasing from the previous month.
