Malco Fort Smith Cinema adds luxury seating, grill, and MXT experience

Malco Fort Smith Cinema is undergoing a significant renovation to elevate the moviegoing experience with luxury upgrades. The remodel will introduce luxury recliner seating and a full-service kitchen and bar, including Malco's MXT “Extreme” Theatre experience with 4K laser projection and Dolby ATMOS sound. The new Malco Bar & Grill will provide gourmet food and beverages, open to the public without a movie ticket. Renovation phases will ensure uninterrupted operations throughout the process, expected to complete by mid-summer. “We aim to stay ahead of the curve in sight and sound technology,” stated David Tashie, president and COO of Malco Theatres.

The upgrades also include a Game Zone featuring the latest gaming technology and lobby kiosks for ticketing. Malco has operated in the Fort Smith area since 1940, enhancing its commitment to the community with these upgrades. A grand re-opening celebration will occur once renovations conclude, with details forthcoming.
