Seeking public input for the future of the Razorback Greenway

Fort Smith, ARLocal News

The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission is actively collecting public input for the Razorback Greenway Corridor Plan, aimed at enhancing the 40-mile trail system from Bella Vista to Fayetteville. Tim Conklin, a member of the commission, highlighted the need to understand users' concerns and aspirations for the greenway over the next 10 to 15 years. The Corridor Plan will evaluate land use, housing, sustainability, and development in relation to the trail system. Funding for this project was granted by the Walton Family Foundation in December 2024. Individuals can participate in the survey during the Square 2 Square Spring bike ride or access it online until the end of May.

This initiative reflects the growing interest in sustainable transportation options in Northwest Arkansas. As the region continues to develop, the feedback will help shape future enhancements to the greenway. Engaging the community is crucial for aligning the project with residents' needs and priorities.
