From teens to 57-year-olds, UAFS celebrates graduates of all ages on May 10

The University of Arkansas-Fort Smith will celebrate over 650 graduates with three commencement ceremonies on May 10 at the Stubblefield Center. The first ceremony begins at 10 a. m. for 231 graduates from the College of Business and Industry, followed by 202 graduates from the College of Health, Education, and Human Sciences at 1 p. m.

, and concluding with 202 graduates from the College of Arts and Sciences at 4 p. m. Dr. Ken Warden, the Commissioner of the Arkansas Division of Higher Education, will deliver the keynote address at all ceremonies. The university will confer a total of 12 master’s degrees, 459 bachelor’s degrees, 147 associate degrees, and 41 technical certificates.

Graduates will include students from the Western Arkansas Technical Center, with ages ranging from 17 to 57. Warden has extensive experience in higher education, having spent nine years at UAFS and holding various leadership roles. Parking will be available in all campus lots, except those near the Stubblefield Center, which are reserved for disability parking, and all ceremonies will be livestreamed on the UAFS YouTube channel.
