Conway Police provide update on shooting investigation

A tragic shooting occurred Sunday night at 5th Avenue Park in Conway, Arkansas, resulting in two deaths and nine injuries. Police Chief Chris Harris identified the victims as Tatayana Penister, 24, and Demetrius Feemster II, 23, both of whom succumbed to their injuries. Among the nine individuals injured, one is reported to be in serious condition while the remaining eight are expected to recover. The police investigation revealed that at least six people fired weapons during the incident, leading to a chaotic scene with over a hundred rounds discharged. Conway Mayor Bart Castleberry condemned the violence, noting that the event was organized by an out-of-town promoter and did not align with the values of the community.
