Mary Borman, a determined Fayetteville woman with Down syndrome, is on a mission to become the first woman with her condition to complete a Half Ironman Triathlon, which includes 1. 2 miles of swimming, 56 miles of biking, and 13. 1 miles of running. Training rigorously for over 25 hours each week, Borman prepares for this significant challenge while managing a vibrant social media presence. Her journey began at the age of nine with the Special Olympics, and she has since progressed through various triathlon events, showcasing her resilience and commitment.

Borman's mother, Marie Wood, recalls her daughter's early experiences in sports, highlighting her desire to compete without special privileges. "I want to show to the world I am limitless," Borman stated, emphasizing her mission to inspire others with disabilities.
